Expanding our Reach in India
In India we are successfully engaging with a number of extremely worthwhile projects as a first step to potential investments:
Pidiguralla (south of Hyderabad) - this project focuses on the children of migrant limestone quarry workers. Working with an existing organization "Assist" we have purchased land for the establishment of a vocational training centre. There, we aim to focus on girls, who face an uncertain future from the age of 14 years, when they are too old to be part of Assist's existing education programmes.
Pondicherry is perhaps one of the most worthwhile projects we have come across. Here we have found huge need amongst children of sex workers, who face a bleak future. We are currently assisting in raising money to support an organization working with these children and hope that as their project develops we can invest in the necessary infrastructure to ensure long-term assistance to this forgotten community.
