Mission
We are committed to protecting, supporting and nurturing Asia's neediest children and youth at risk. We aim to have a measurable and sustainable impact on their lives in ways that have the potential to extend beyond the immediate community.
Working with Children and Youth at Risk
Children and Youth at Risk are children, adolescents and young adults who are denied one or more of their basic rights to a safe and healthy life. They often live in extreme poverty and may be exposed to physical and sexual abuse, denied access to education and protection. They might live or work on the streets and slums of Asian cities or in remote rural villages. In the more developed economies, they may not live on the streets, but for a variety of reasons are unable to function in society, making them vulnerable to crime, drugs and other social ills. All have one thing in common - little hope for a better future.
PARTNER ORGANISATIONS
The quality of the organizations with which we work is determined by the presence of outstanding individuals determined to better the lives of marginalized children and youth. These individuals have clear vision, sound ideas and strong ability to drive their organization. They are able to identify the best ways of helping the neediest in their specific context.
We are thus committed to identifying effective organisations and high quality projects that can change the lives of these children and youth by providing a real chance for a better future. We choose a small number of partners in target countries and with them we identify projects that we can help by providing infrastructure, access to funding and strategic support. In other words, we aim to provide outstanding people with the resources to develop, strengthen and improve their projects.
MEASURING SUCCESS
The most important metric is the increased quality of services offered by the organizations we support as well as quantity of children and youth benefiting regularly from those services.
