Endangered sea species are being sold at local wet markets, including Ap Lei Chau market. Some fish and seafood have also been found mislabeled, often being incorrectly identified as more expensive species. Hong Kong is the eighth largest per capital consumer of seafood in the world with the average person consuming 65,5 kilograms of seafood every year.
